Hardwood Review – Saso Hardwood

When considering Hardwood flooring one of the first questions is do you want/need a solid hardwood floor or is an engineered hardwood floor the right choice for you? That discussion is for another time, however for today let’s assume you have already concluded that engineered wood flooring is right for you.

For this scenario let’s assume the following:

You are installing in a lower floor of your home, perhaps a basement.
You want a high end hardwood with European styling and design, but you don’t want to pay retail.

Robustium Strand Bamboo Flooring

If you like the idea of being green and you find yourself on a budget most interior design sources would say you’re out of luck. They don’t have access to super sustainable products at super sale prices. So that is the normal reaction – being green in flooring will cost you alot of green.

However, if you haven’t yet discovered the extra DIY friendly (easy to install flooring) known as Robustium Strand Bamboo Flooring you are about to be delighted.

The two most popular colors of strand are available in a very easy to to install plank size and has the hardness that is similar to Brazilian Cherry. However Robustium is better than Brazilian cherry because it has all the hardness of exotic hardwoods at a fraction of the cost! And it doesn’t cut down any tropical rainforests – it is from the ultra fast growth bamboo which is regenerated every 5 years naturally.

Robustium has a very high density fiber core which is in itself a very earth friendly product with a great surface finish wear layer.

If you have considered budget flooring and want something green, something tough and something that is easy to install – you should consider Robustium bamboo!

AABSO Vinyl Flooring Review

Recently there has been a shift toward vinyl flooring in the market. However, this vinyl is not what you think of when you hear the word vinyl.

Most of us hear the word vinyl flooring and we think of the shiny stuff that was installed in our mother’s house that was hard to maintain, looked cheap and was installed in sheets at great expense.

Today however, there is a whole new generation of vinyl flooring. It has even been termed: SUPER LAMINATE flooring.

Aabso vinyl flooring is one of the new generation of floors that is a top quality leading edge floor.

It looks like wood flooring and comes in planks.

It has 3 different styles:

Loose Lay Vinyl Plank Flooring (you literally can just unbox the floor and then install without glue or anything!)

Mid Level Vinyl Plank Flooring (this clicks together like laminate flooring and is INCREDIBLY well milled)

High End Vinyl Plank Flooring (This is a wide planked handscraped floor that looks like wood and has a depth of visual detail that can not be beat)

There are alot of cheap liquidators selling crappy peel and stick floors, but if you are interested in a floor that has the following benefits you should skip the crappy peel and stick and go for the good stuff:

1) Less subfloor prep work required.
2) VERY easy flooring installation
3) Extraordinarily realistic visuals of wood flooring.
4) Better feel under your feet.
5) VERY water resistant
6) Better sound than other floating floors so the look and feel really is like solid hardwood flooring

Aabso gets high marks for patterns, construction and innovation. Super laminate flooring also known as luxury vinyl flooring (LVT) or vinyl tiles is something that will be taking the world by storm.

Check it out in the United States and Canada available at VINYL FLOORING PLANKS or in the UK at VINYL FLOORING PLANKS

This floor will outperform 95% of laminate flooring out there and is perfect for active households. Check it out.

Flooring Sale

It’s All about Flooring Summer Sale

If one part of your home or workplace isn’t looking good, it affects the appearance of everything. Thus you need to consider carefully the materials you will use in building your home. This will not be easy with so many things to consider. There’s the roof, the walls, the windows and doors, not to mention the floors. Perhaps, one of the most important factors that should be considered in a home project is the type of flooring that should be applied. Your floors can be tiles, wood, bamboo, metal, or any other material that’s made to perform the functions of a floor. When you’re picking a flooring material, you must be wary of your preferences. In addition, you also have to take note of the budget that you are able to dedicate. There are some people who prefer using wooden flooring than other types of flooring materials. But wooden flooring, when they come of age, tends to produce those noisy sounds and creaking. This is caused by a joint of wood rubbing against each other. A wooden floor almost always needs repairing when damaged. It needs protection and maintenance for it to last and to make it look young and fresh again. Hardwood floor is expensive, yes. However, it more than compensates its price with what it can provide for your home. This can be one of your most expensive home investments ever but wooden floors give you a lifetime of satisfaction and benefits.

The kind of treatment varies on different types of floors. As we all know, we have to be selective of what we do or apply on our floor otherwise, we might end up doing more damage. Bad practices in floor cleaning are some of the most common causes of accidents. For safety and floor preservation, it is very important when you move an appliance or any heavy item around your house; you must place a blanket or a small plywood under the item to protect the floor from scratches. You can place rugs at the entry ways to gather small pieces of sand or moisture. This will limit the amount that is tacked into the floor. Homeowners should also avoid walking with high heel shoes or dirty boots inside the house for it may cause injury to the floor. To add, it is also important to remember not to leave the floors wet after mopping. Now, there are different types of wooden floors. One of them is hardwood flooring. Hardwood flooring provides a soft place to sit down, play or work. It is simple to clean and easy to preserve. It is extremely durable and long lasting and has natural warmth and beauty that can’t be mimicked by other floor types. It also gives a room that hearty and comfortable atmosphere. Hardwood floors never go out of the style and can last for generations. They truly provide the best value for your money.

Before and After Photos

A lot of people are scepitical about buying flooring. They are worried about what it will look like when it is all done, will it turn out error free, and if they are actually going to like what they picked once it is all done. Well for those of you who are in this group of worried buyers here are a few photos of a transformation that will hopefully help ease your mind.

A customer bought some flooring from , www.Ifloor.com, and after they finished installing their flooring the took and sent me some before and after photos. I wanted to post these photos to show the transformation and beautiful it turned out.

Here the top photo was taken of the living room before the transformation. The photo below was taken after the flooring was installed. The owners used the hand-scraped Brazilian Cherry.

Here the top photo is the before photo of the owners office. The photo below is the after photo. Here again the used the hand-scraped Brazilian Cherry.

This photo to the right is the after photo of the owners family room. They had the same carpet as in all the other photos and they also used the same hand-scraped Brazilian Cherry flooring in this family room.

After seeing the before and after transformation for yourself, hopefully now you can have a little ease at mind and know that no matter what you may choose for your house it will always turn out amazingly beautiful.
